Oh Sunday

For mostsome, me, Sunday means painfully piecing together the fragments of the night before, cursing the gods for replacing your nan’s birthday money with empty ketchup packets and a vague memory of verbally assaulting your friend’s, cousin’s girlfriend with a story about your dog and that time he got his head stuck in the trampoline. So thank you Sunday Social for the gentle reminder that Sundays are more about rad and less about regrets with their laidback take on A/W 2012. Starring my gorgeous gal-pal and all round babe Thea, the lookbook is an eclectic mix of colour and prints that has the, ‘I just threw this on and happen to look like a goddess’ look down pat. While not everybody can rock double denim like the free-spirited Thea, a visit to Sunday Social has definitely worked its way into my next weekend’s plan. …Right after I wash off the sweet chilli shame of last night’s kebab.

Printastic

For some people it's shoes, for others it's chocolate, but take me fabric shopping and I'll go weak at the knees.

Here are some of my recent sneaky purchases from my favourite website spoonflower. In my head I'm wearing them all at the same time and swanning around like the legendary Susie Bubble, but in reality I'll probably mix them with simple basics to avoid the whole 'circus fell into a cement mixer' look.

Startin' Something

It’s long overdue but here’s my little contribution to the blogosphere.

stitch & kitchen is my personal take on food, fashion and getting domestic on yo self. Whether I’m in the kitchen getting high on haloumi or nursing my wounds after an intense session with the glue gun, I’m happiest getting freaky with my hands and making something.

A few things you should know about me before we begin,

I plan lunch while I’m eating breakfast.
I live in a permanent food coma.
NEVER wear jeans when coming over to my place for dinner.
The Spotlight staff know my name and the names of my childhood pets.
I show my fabrics to my parents and expect them to get excited.

So with the introductions done and dusted, excuse me while I turn off my phone and cover up the clock, I’ll see you in a few days, project in hand.
